Chapter 1:
“A call for help from Palma de Mallorca”
Nick is sitting in his car in Port Adriano checking the e-email which the chief of police of Palma de Mallorca had sent him:

Dear Mr. Nickerbocker,
We urgently ask for your help to find Mila, the kidnapped little dog of Lyudmila Beresina. Mrs. Beresina is the wife of Roman Abrasovich, a Russian oligarch, who is staying on his super yacht at Port Adriano. The dog was stolen while she was doing her morning stroll.
We attach a blackmail letter which was received by Mr. Abrasovich and the detailed description of the dog. We have secured a mobile phone at the crime scene and have reconstructed a possible escape route.
